Appreciation Evening June 17th 2025
To recognise and appreciate our Donors and Volunteers, the OBPOPP held an evening of celebration and thanks at the Bathurst Curling Club on Tuesday 17th June. All of our Volunteers were invited, along with our major Donors, and we were treated to a magnificent buffet, and updates on what the project had achieved so far, and a sneak preview of the plans going forward. We were especially grateful for the suprise visit from our Premier, the Right Honourable Susan Holt, who took the time to add her thanks for the sterling efforts from all involved. The Bathurst Curling Club were able to present a check to the value of $90,896 to the project, and we were able to hear from two of our major new sponsors UNI FInancial, and Glencore International, who have each donated $50,000 to the preservation project. A fine evening was enjoyed by all!!
What an Evening it Was!
Tuesday 17th June, we gathered to celebrate the heart and soul of the Old Bathurst Post Office Preservation Project — our incredible volunteers! 💛 From organizing Chase the Ace to helping launch Club 140, your unwavering commitment has helped us raise over $700,000 to date — a true testament to the power of community!
We were thrilled to be joined by two of our major supporters:

✨ Glencore Canada – $50,000 donation
Your generosity fuels our vision of transforming this historic landmark into a vibrant arts and culture centre.
And to top it off… 🎉 Premier Susan Holt made a surprise visit! What an honour to have her join us in recognizing the incredible momentum this community has built.
